EAGLE FLIGHT SQUADRON |  REBRAND

The goal was to redesign and update the branding for this non-profit youth flight training organization.

LOGOTYPE

Mission and military patches from NASA, USAF and the RAF, to name a few, inspired the overall look of the logo, while borrowing heavily from the symbols used in flight maps.

The A of Eagle is the symbol for ”Obstacles less than 1000' AGL (above ground level).“

The star is a ”Rotating beacon in operation, sunset to sunrise,“ a feature of the airport where the squadron keeps their planes.

”1975“ is the squadron’s founding year, but it’s typographic treatment references the MSL (mean sea level) ceiling and floor altitude markings.
